Tornado whistle.
Good whistle. Different frequencies really helped the game when you have a lot of whistles with the same frequency.

Ducks Tail whistle
Called la cola de pato, meaning ducks tail due to its shape, by Spanish speaking referees this interestingly shaped acme whistle is, for the price, a good purchase. It makes a very unique sound. When blown hard it is a very powerful whistle, however when blown lighter it’s ineffective and can embarrass you. That’s my only complaint.

Tournament Alternative
Nearly everyone around here uses Fox 40. So when you're on adjacent fields to avoid confusion the tone of the Acme Tornado is an excellent choice. Now available in multiple colors to match your uniform and contrast the grass in case it gets dropped!

Very strong and unique sound
This is my second whistle along with a Kakapo. I really like using this whistle indoors or when many fields are close together. The lower sound is very distinct (my sons call it my “train whistle”) and easy to distinguish from all of the Fox 40s at the complex. Great for any environment where an official wants to remove confusion about which whistle is the one players should follow.

Loud and compact.
I've been using this whistle for about 3 years. I do own other whistles but when I'm on the field I don't seem to feel as confident as I do with the Tornado. Not saying you'll feel more confident with this whistle but it helps with how loud it can be.

I keep coming back to this one
I have several whistles in my bag, and this gets more use than any of the others.
First of all, it feels so comfortable in my hand. The "L" stays parallel to my thumb and always finds the mouth.
Second, it has an odd, distinct tone that stands out from nearby fields or on a two-whistle system -- sort of a roundness that carries across the field.
Another reviewer mentioned that he keeps his in his pocket, and it does lie very flat during AR duties.

2nd favorite whistle
This is the whistle I wear in my backpocket. It is loud and crisp, not quite as good as the Valkeen but still a pretty good whistle.
